The lower mounting bolt enters the swingarm from the rh side, so is open to the elements and road crap, so you will likely have the same problem...
One grunt or two were the only 2 settings you needed :punch:
Here's a few off the top of head, that I've used on all my Multistrada's, think they came from a 1200DVT workshop manual, nothing's fallen off...
Had those on my 2013 GT, they are massive, needed a "wide load" label on them, I ended up replacing the lids with standard pannier one's.
Had the same happen on my 2018 1260S a couple of years, only ever been removed and retightened by myself (always to the correct torque setting) or...
Might be worth considering getting the panels wrapped, plenty of choice of colours, and/or graphics, @evoboy on here could advise better and does...

Can't disagree with that statement, just back from a 2 up tour to Spain and Portugal, bike now showing 21k miles, this was my 4th euro trip this...

Isn't it just the pre DVT models that have this issue?, where the mounting bolt is on the inner side of the swingarm and collects all the road...
