Ducati book is something like 30.75 front 31.75 rear - not that you will get them that accurate - I use 32 front and 34 rear
Starter motor will be the biggest load so unlikely to reduce your battery size from removal of lights?

Ducati supplied solenoids used to be notoriously dodgy, had issues with ignition solenoid on my 96 Monster and side stand safety switch solenoid...
Not an answer but I put BOS race cans on my '96 Monster and left everything else the same. I had no popping on decal just better low down torque....
