No the M4 is the 'Monobloc' as used on the 1098/1198, the HPK is a 2-piece caliper - seen as an upgrade to the M4. I have the M4s on the Monster...

When I had the heads on my 916 skimmed (to up compression) I needed larger idler pulleys to take up the slack created by the shorter belt run....

Indeed I did but they were Showa forks which have a different thread to Ohlins. I also have 1198 Ohlins on my 916 but with the standard Ohlins...
Just use a cable tie or bolt/bolts through the mounting holes - if your bike's yellow, black or white you could try colour co-ordinated plastic...
