Both panigales I work on have lithium batteries with zero problems. Think they are both at least 5 years old.
Could explain the quick deaths, I'm sure I've seen some alive in the morning and dead in the evening. No bloody discharge though

Ive just done a starter on a hyper with relatively low mileage so they can fail. Motor was very stiff to turn when removed.
