    Just my personal opinion but I would look to wear something over the trousers like a pair of cargo pants as they can look a little sex offender ish :p

    Oswestry To Bala Local Knowledge Needed

    My suggestion is Oswestry to Pen y Bont then B4396/4393 to Lake Vyrnwy then unnamed road (signposted Lake Bala) which is beautiful but single track.
