Isn't there a plug under the seat that gets soaked when washed?? Think you have to dry that out first.
My 1198 was alot of setting up to get to handle well bit I got there in the end. It's funny as the best handling bike I have is a nitron shod gsxr...

Buy a 1198 and drop a tooth on the front cog.
Not much cheap with ducati. I put a 1098 side stand on my 996 cost nearly £120.
Looks like it's a pin for the spring to hook on too.
