@timberwolf I undid the centre nut holding the circular black plastic disc and pulled the disc off the shaft. The nut has a lock tab fitted. @bettes.is the Lambda sensor wiring separable from the lambda sensor by just pulling to separate, or do you have to unscrew the sensor from the mid pipes? I managed to wrestle the mid pipes off the bike but it's bloody tricky with the Lambda sensor still in situ as it restricts rearward moment as it hits the swing arm.
John, I tried to undo that nut but its bloody tight and was fearful of snapping something. What bike are you working on John, I don't have any sensors on my mid pipe? I can only see a sensor on the horizontal cylinder front pipe which I obviously didn't need to remove. My central exhaust came out easily. Have you removed the right side footrest?
848Evo, I think the straight 848 doesn't have the rear Lambda sensor. My nut was easy to undo once the lock washer tag was flattened. Yes, both footrests& gear linkage removed.
Mine is a 1098 and does not have the sensor you describe. I imagine you would need to heat it up to unscrew the lambda sensor i am afraid.
