Make sure the DTC unit is mounted with the cables coming out of the top. It looks wrong but if you mount it looking neater with the cables below then DTC will not work because it will think the bike is upside down.
Interesting point worthy of note. Personally, I’d bypass the TC on a 1098R. It always felt weird and unsettling when it kicked in. I think I used to run it on 1, which is virtually off.
