Those cans are worth around 3500 from corse as i have a set too, i can try source you the connector you need, they usually come with a full system. If they are an older model you'll need to find the same year the cans should have the date stamped on them. Luke doesn't use this much as i speak to him most days as we both have RS bikes. So be careful with slagging people off as theres always an answer to people problems
Once if sorted my son out for bed etc I will reply. I did see your message and planned to reply as I have with all messages. Like before I don't have the luxury of being able to reply straight away.
@Red899 and @lukefrs - can I suggest you take this to PM or indeed phone so you can discuss this like adults. Thanks.
But si seems adamant that these are wrong and it is good having people here explaining that they are intact identical to off shelf termi cans apart from the material
Interesting things exotic parts,so are the standard Termi cans stainless with ti sleeves, these corse cans are all ti ?and they are designed to run with out the loop covers,i guess the reparto corse headers are ti apposed to stainless of the Ducati performance headers, any idea why you have to remove/modify the cooling fan housing to run the rc headers is it because of the bore or routing.Sorry for so many questions just intrested. Also noticed the Termi badge looks big on these cans.
The reason for the fan being removed is cause the way the front exit header sweeps around its not the cans that foul. the termi cans are 100% the same just reparto are full titanium with a bigger hoop to get more flow out of the system the actual rs system is 300mm bigger and bends in different places to clear the tank that goes under the seat The only system sum aware of off the shelf that needs the fan removing is the super stock termi headers all the others work no problem. i had a 70mm off the shelf inconel termi system that fitted with no problems. The cans luke is selling will fit a exactly how normal termis fit bar the cover
The silencers I sold si are the very first gen corse cans.they are identical to normal termi cans and I even gave him the carbon covers for the loops.being the early design they do have the tabs to install heat shields. Generally they are just much lighter. Cost a absolute fortune to purchase.tge price of the silencers is probably close to what a off the shelf manifold Costs. If you took the parts to anyone with decent experience it's a very very simple task. The remaining funds should have been more than enough to complete the install with my advice of having MR do the electronic work for you. I don't really know where to go with this other than I apologise for my delayed reply but as stated above I have very little spare time to do these things.
Bargain price for a set of very trick cans imo,i have no idea why the link pipe will not work,it appears to be the right one that red899 has its 100% the right 3 hole style for the 899/1199. @Red899 i would be digging a bit deeper into the link pipe as i am sure these will fit.
If I had to take a wild guess I'd say who ever you have taken it to did not want to carry out this work as some simple advice from these so called experts would have cleared any doubts. Moto rapido could have carried out this with they're eyes closed and would have been a fair price.
Hope you don't mind me asking Luke I'm new to all this - how do I go about getting a Corse system for a 1299? MotoRapido presumably?
