Given that everyone I know who has a race seat has cut theirs down like I did, just get the R seat in future! The race seat is too high and lifts your CofG too far, I cut mine down with a dremel to reduce the height by about an inch at the front.
Cham, this is a good point. I ll see what it does with the risers , it being an issue i ve been pondering on : doesn t it get to high up ? Let it be said : pure for intellectual reasons as it will not give me 1 second. ...
finally we got going... all in the work of 1 day! from new to full strip in 75 minutes and back up to where we're now in another 5 hours...
Of all the things you've fitted.....what are the grips? Like those and about the only thing I cold afford or fit off our bike! Lol
I have these grips, they are good but I have found they cut up relatively easily, that could be due to the astars gp pros I was using. I believe these grips were used by the Ducati factory racers but have now been superceeded, maybe thats why. Wow that was a success, first time I've loaded a pic from my Iphone, the flash makes it a bit harder to see the cutting up though.

Muddy mildred Kopey this is spondicious . But I need to spend some more money for you mate. You need these. Ducati 1199 Brake System Dry Break & HEL Performance Brakeline Kit - Complete | eBay
Well spotted : these are on the 'nice to have' list for next year.. http://www.traxracing.com/product/titanium-body-03-unf-3-8-24 great product at great price... was just a 15 minute wait and made to order! owners are ducati freaks as well.. spent 200 gbp on Z4 pads today ... that should stop me in time!
Kopey hold back on ordering those for now , if they are the same as the ones I ordered (from a different source) then they are too big and look unsightly . Lets see if I can find the pics. BRB.
Yep here they are I cant vouch for the size of the ones your looking at Second pic is the size next to the rear caliper on my 999 third is harder to see but I nestled it next to the front caliper and its way too big ,cumbersome looking I'd say ,so there not going on and I'll be looking at the set I flashed up above. Oh by the way these dry breaks cost me £90 for the three. Far cheaper than whats above . You pays your money ? Sorry pics loaded sideways ,oh well just turn your lappy and read it like a book. LOL.
Peter, tx veery much for the pix... they are huge indeed... a def no go ... i paid 110 or so for both front... with a T and some black banjo's... cost less than a pair of pads! Tom , the paintshop is standing ready and if all goes well with the tank, faring, and seat, they shoud go into the shop mid next week. all should be done by 15 , ready for the final assembly.. the plans for next week are to dyno her as she is now, then add the timing of the cams and then the rapidbike module with the R mapping and adjustments..
