For Sale 1299 Superleggera Sl Carbon

Discussion in 'Ducati Bikes For Sale' started by Biot, Aug 24, 2017.

  1. There's a lot to be said for the coolness of bikes , yes all the panigale range are brilliant bikes but a 916/996/998 are just so much cooler in my opinion. Sure seeing a pani on the road is ace but when it's a 9x6 I just think that's bad ass!!

  2. These bikes are not made to be collectables. They are made to be thrashed round a track.
Seen a couple at the Ducati trackdays this summer, that's what they are built for.

To some people £75k is not a lot of money. If i was lucky enough to be in that position then i would buy one to use.

  3. Can’t agree more with the comment above, these bike are more akin to specialist track cars then the latest hyper car - which seem to have more in commen with a designer handbag than a race car.

With the current state of global economics, politics and the future of fossle fules in question, motorcycles are a risky investment bet. However, they provide a Return of Adrenaline that money can’t buy.

  4. I have a bunch of shitty bikes then as the 1199 no one seems to like, my 749 no one likes and now this one no one likes, I got a scrambler if that will increase my popularity!

  6. if you gave me your bikes, I would class you as being very very popular, and if I lent my friends your bikes occasionally, that would make you very popular :upyeah:

  7. The seller is hoping no-one would notice - he only needs one with a fat wallet and small brain :upyeah:

  8. Shame as I’m in the market to buy and I love this one. But how much is it worth £11500-£12000 ? £14500 just seems to much

  9. You need to keep watch on the various LC sites which have them offered for sale occasionally - RD/LC Crazy is one, plus there's a Facebook Group - "RD LC and YPVS and 2 Stroke Bikes".

It's true the prices have rocketed (those who wish to relive their youth and can afford to invest pension lump sums) and then the chancers push them up further (or try). A few of us on here have LCs/YPVS bikes and post interesting ones we spot on Ebay etc.

A bike is worth what someone will pay for it - we all have our views, but if I was after a mint standard RD350LC, I'd be willing to go £6k-8k. Some might ask a lot more, some value one a lot less, but I doubt they sell for really high prices (as this chancer seemed to expect).

Others will have varying views and no doubt some alternative views will be forthcoming - how long is a piece of string.....

  10. Your popularity would increase even more with a few bins in shot!!

  11. 1st owner of the Brough (sold 93 years ago) would almost certainly be gone by now. :D

  12. It’s not got a cup holder on it, I can’t see me buying one.
