Is a father legally allowed to do this? Reminds me of my favorite Dad, son, brothel joke...... "if it's anything like with a Kangaroo we are going to need all the space we can get"
Green Laning? https://www.bewiser.co.uk/knowledge-base/motoring-knowledge/what-green-laning Forget that.... he's 13... doh
Trials, relatively cheap to learn and compete. Not sure if they do it at English centre clubs, but down this way they have a thing called Project 2000, you give them a call and they arrange for you to have a go and some tuition on one of their bikes.
Reminds me of a guy that I used to work with that went on a stag weekend and his dad was there too. Stevie brings a girl back to the room to find his dad hammering away on top of another girl, Stevie took the bed next to him ( they had a twin room ) and away he went. Went home to Mum and wife. No issues in that family....
We were in the same predicamant with our 11 yr old who is now 13. Bike made, wants when he is 16 and always wants to come out with me when i go out on mine. Mrs M isnt keen on letting him have one when he is 16, so we brought him a KTM SX85 to go moto-x’ing so he could get his fix now and hope he would grow out of it however, typical he loves it. We just go to practice tracks on asaturday morning To get him going we took him to a practice track near st georges park where they tought him how to ride the bike properly, balance, gears etc
Controversial this & appreciate it doesn’t help your situation & the future of biking but I’m a complete hypocrite. Got a 5 yr old girl who hates the smell & 3 yr old boy who hates the noise. Once either pays attention/interest to the bikes - they go. The bikes themselves are getting safer , but distractions/speed limits/mobiles & traffic volume are getting worse IMO. This is purely my viewpoint & hope others do not adopt it. I wish I felt differently, feel guilty how I feel, but I don’t want either to ride.
Totally get that. I sort of feel the same. I’d rather he took up table tennis. If I’d had a bike at 18 I’d be dead. I drove a car like a kamikaze and only calmed down once I’d had a ban and switched to land rovers and sensible cars. I don’t want to think about my kids with access to this. It’s perverse and makes me a hypocrite, but it’s not a rational argument in the first place....
