1996 750ss Lh Fairing Wanted

Discussion in 'Wanted' started by 900theginge, Apr 7, 2021.

  1. My near mint 6k mile 750SS has been stored in my father in laws house for the winter. He tried to move it and sadly dropped it which has now damaged the left hand fairing. I’ve been watching eBay and searching everywhere but can’t find a used one. Does anyone happen to have one at all? It might be that I have to get the original repaired. What a pain! One picture of ‘before’ and 2 pics ‘after’

  2. All 3 pics look to be "after"? plus hard to see - has it suffered any cracks? I haven't had a price check for a while but the way prices have risen lately, even if you found a mint example with correct decals I think it would be prohibitively expensive, and if you found a sound one that still needed painting, then you're still in a similar position so finding a good repairer/painter probably the best route. @Humbug has been in a similar position recently and might comment and I will link his thread unless someone beats me to it.

  3. Have a look at the Supersport thread, there’s a couple of useful posts there.

I’ll bet you were cross with your father in law!

  4. Can't he claim for the repair on his house insurance?

  5. Gutted for you, hopefully with the help and advise from this forum it can be made new again.

  6. Thanks chaps. The other thread makes for an interesting read with a few paint shop recommendations. I’m getting it transported down to me in the South once the local bike shops has replaced my collapsed brake lines with some braided ones . Never a dull moment!
