Hey all, its getting to that time of year (UK) where the bike sits in the garage for ages Anyone recommend a specific charger for the '24 V4S? Is it just a case of getting an optimate and connecting straight to the battery as per usual, or are there any other Ducati-isms I need to know about Any advice appreciated!
Cheers for the reply, I was just looking at the Noco Genius 5 following your suggestion and it states a charge rate of 4-10 amps, yet the Bike manual says only to go for a max of 1.5 Does that sound right, or am I looking at the wrong thing?
Been looking at the https://www.optimate.co.uk/battery-chargers/optimate-lithium-0-8/ and it looks like it has a compatible connector with it ( the black 2 pronged one?)
Crocodile clips for a straight hook-up, it also has another connector which you wire to the battery, then that has a plug which the charger plugs to (should also have a weatherproof cap) - that should see you right. I believe the Duo (as the name suggests does lead acid and Li: https://www.optimate.co.uk/battery-chargers/optimate-1-duo/ BUT - I have a 1098 and a 1200 XE Scambler, both the Lead batteries - hopefully someoine with a V4 will come along and help you find the right (best) one.
I use the Genius 2 and Genius2x2. Never had any issues and can recommend them. The 5 is for larger batteries... Not needed for bikes
