So I have a 2025 Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak. Had it from new and done only 2000 miles normal road riding (I know - but I have other bikes!) Anyway the Ohlins fork legs are badly chipped and seem to get worse each ride. It's almost as though the gold anodising is woefully inadequate. Had many bikes over the years with gold fork legs (Ohlins and otherwise) but never had this happen! Anyone else had this problem with their Ohlins forks (Multey or otherwise)? Cheers
If you can demonstrate that the anodising is lifting as a result of poor manufacturing, it should be a warranty issue. I cannot remember hearing about anyone experiencing a similar problem. My first thought is, the damage has been caused by road debris being thrown up. I’ve had Óhlins forks on an ST4S, 748R, 2 x 1200 Multistradas and my current V4 Pikes Peak and not had similar. My Pikes Peak forks were PPF wrapped from new though as I was concerned about potential damage from road debris. I’d talk to the dealer you bought the bike from. Andy
Same as Andy mine were PPF from new, done 24k miles now and not a mark, it is good stuff. Get to your dealer
