Just to put a point on the full system, I went past an audio 'camera' a couple times a month or so ago, not full tilt, but reasonable. Never had any letters. Loud enough to sound as it should, but not over the top. Also worth noting, I was stood next to a brand new Panigale V4 a week or so ago. The lad fired it up and pulled away with the usual youthful enthusiasm and it sounded absolutely shite, just flat and crap. If you were ever disappointed with the Multi V4, this would make you cry.
I loved loud , now I prefer stealth as it’s off the radar , I can full chatt past an audio camera and go , No worries , be Happy . Also it puts the focus on the loud buggers , not me . Tune the engine from standard , great results and still Plod happy . Well unless you’re on the back wheel of course.
Just got back from Spain & France and as most of you know, as you get further North in France, the roads get straighter. On one particular long straight road, my mate, on a Z H2, and I decided to have a 'play'. He has a particularly noisy end can, even with DB killer in it. 10 mins later we were joined by 2 police bikers! Luckily they caught up with us whilst going through a village and we always slow down for villages. They followed us for about 10 mins and then went by, waved to follow them and then made of making 'very good progress'. About 20 mins later they indicated to turn and we did not, so they stopped their bikes, stopped us and asked us to turn off our engines and we thought, okay, here we go for at least a telling off. But no, we had a good chat about where we were going, where we had been, etc. and then they warned us about large French farm machinery and wished us well. Anyway, the point is, we think my mates exhaust at full chat, caught their attention
