  2. Having had a 2020, 2022, and now a 2025... id say the progression of the bike just gets better and better. easier to ride faster, easier to be accurate and precise, quicker without trying, and safer, less feeling of you might throw all your money at the scenery...

  3. according to Ducati.com..
V4R versus V4S in numbers, dimensions and weights,
the R is half a kilo lighter
the R wheel base is 8mm shorter (down to the larger rear sprocket 16/43 versus 16/41 moving the rear wheel forward)
the gearbox ratios are the same
rake and trail are the same
The R seat height is 5mm higher

  4. Did you meet a Bulgarian lad called Ivan on an R1? He doesn’t hang about round there… he messaged me.

And you were right, Mugello is a fabulous venue… must get back soon…

  5. Didn’t meet him
I was doing 2.12, the faster uk guys doing 2.05/6, the foreign pro racers 1.55

  6. Yes it’s another level as a circuit…. Can be tricky to learn and then exploit! I love the place and surrounding area!!

  8. About the same as me. You that is, not the pro racers :D

Yeah, some cracking little restaurants, bars and cafes… did you go in this one?? Kinda puts things in perspective… :astonished:

  9. It needs the Exhaust, Discs, GP4 calipers, and rearsets, bringing it in at £56,587.01 !!!

I have the standard sized non-finned t-drive discs on my 2025 track wheels and they are so much better than the OEM discs on track.

The daft thing with some of those options is that if you order as an option you are charged that price and only get your option, whereas if you just order the bike and order the item as an accessory you get the option and OEM together for the same price.

I think I would prefer the Tricolore. Almost a bargain at £48k!!

I would hate to think what insurance would be, it is bad enough on my 2025 V4S!

Absolutely not, and it would get you black flagged at every track in the UK (I have been already with the OEM exhaust!).

  10. It doesn’t need the bullshit discs…t drives or hpk and decent pads more than good enough.

the exhaust is difficult… I couldn’t hear the std one and it’s over 6 kilos … bargains will appear and the ability to quieten them down

the tricolore is just another in the bull line of paint shop specials with a few trinkets and a stupid price … lots of better options on those parts at a better price …

  11. It does seem that this V4R is more biased towards track use than recent versions and definitely more so than the flash paint job versions which seem ludicrously priced for what they are.

How much would it cost to get a V4S close to the V4R spec?

  12. If you track it, how long between engine rebuilds?

  13. Not long. I remember reading the PM schedule on a V4R a couple of years back and it was scary expensive/involving. And let’s be honest- who gets a V4R for pootling round town? I’d imagine 90% of buyers will be tracking them.

  14. And the other 10% locking them away never to see the light of day
