just wondering if anyone with this generation of monster has had their seat redone and can you please share pics if so? taking mine to the trimmer later today. looking to raise the seat in general, provide better comfort and lessen the ramp to the rear cowl which tips me forward if i slide back. i have a couple of ideas how to achieve this to discuss with the trimmer but would be good to see what others have done.
Had mine done last year. Just as you’re looking for; raised the seat height about 25mm, less slope, covered with Alcantara and carbon fibre lookalike material, diamond stitching in red and tricolore stitching along the sides
LOL, have you been watching the other channel (sssshhh). Yep it was running. It is running now as well . Actually, I bought a 2nd seat off eBay for £30 and sent that off to be done so I could still ride the bike.
I have a casual interest in a lot of forums, here is my favourite. I only take an interest in certain members contributions on the other channel and don’t nor intend to contribute. Happy you solved your problem with the 1100
this is what i ended up with. the pax section was left stock but the rider's seat was stripped to the base and built up with higher density foam with up to 20mm added to change the profile. full leather retrim in connolly leather left over from a custom job for the local bentley dealer. very happy with it, although can't test for comfort until the panels are back from paint liquid grey] and ready to ride again.
