Thanks anyway Chris for all the help so far. Had a disaster today which has called a halt to proceedings. I'm changing the front plug when the bike starts slowly coming towards me. At first i thought the patio was subsiding but it turns out there was/is a hairline crack in the stand bracket which slowly started opening up with the weight of the bike on it. The bike is now propped up against a big metal site box i'm storing for someone (no paddock stand). Why do these things always happen on a bank holiday?
