Help, I am trying desperately to try and sort some end cans for my 2000 750 ss ie. i have a pair of cheap viper cans that the bike came with but the link pipes are not right (thinking maybe from a 900ss). As a result the cans look all wrong. Happy to keep the cans however there seems to be viper can link pipe for every mode except a 750ss ie?? Anyone know where they can be sourced or have any other ideas? Thanks Nick
When I got my carbed 750 SS it had ally Laser cans (straight through) with fixed link pipes which had come from a 2002 SS IE. They had the end outlets pointing in towards each other and didn't look right at all. They were also on bits of building galvanised strap as hangers. I made my own hangers out of 4mm stainless steel so I could get the link pipes sitting correctly without bashing the swingarm and I removed the end outlets so I could turn them to the correct position. Eventually I changed the ally can sleeves for carbon ones. You might find secondhand Laser systems on ebay etc.
