I assume the OP knows to tune from the top down? That is: First make sure each carb is in good condition, o rings, float levels, gaskets, carb to cylinder rubber if it has them. Select the main jet to best suit your set up and select the jet that produces a good plug colours, this will be checked when you pull each plug after a full throttle run. Once happy tune the needle height and shape. Then and only then tune the lower circuit. Carbs are a pain to get right but once corrected way nicer than injection systems. Your carbs will not be the same as somebody else and without a methodical approach you are pissing in the wind to be frank. Either this or go to dyno so they can set it with afr read in real time.
