That's interesting (no really) I was a bit worried that the 848 one I'm running with my 916 rear disc would be squiffy.
Nelson, not that lot. I sent them an email asking what they could do to help me and the reply I got was that all they could do was make me a key to match the dash.
This is very interesting! I'd like to know if this works out....could open up a load of possibilities for older bikes.
I have found out by trial and error, that the trigger disc will need only eight holes to fit everything on. If you mark out the 5 holes on the pcd,(for the bolt holes) then using one hole at 12 o'clock, mark out the 4 holes. one of the 4 would then be shared by one of the mounting bolts. You will need then to drill to a depth, one of the ti bolts heads 7mm. Then insert a 7mm ferrous pin. Then you can drill the 8.5mm holes for the bolts and the other 3 at 6mm to rivet 7mm stepped pins through. Not had it all running yet, as I am addressing problems that I know would arise.
f_e have you given up on the 999 engine with the 848 dash then? Is there a technical reason like it wouldn't work, or just preference?
It would work just a case of deciding what is the best way of wiring the inj/tb's. Not hard at all. 1098 came up at a good price. After all they are only engines
