  6. Does anyone know a good powder coat business in Surrey or London ? I have a 916 swingarm that needs something done to make it stand out . Any suggestions of colours or finishes will be welcome . Not sure of what to do . The original swingarm is still good but has some deep scratches . I was thinking of polishing this one and do something special with the replacement . Any ideas anyone ?

  7. I was just talking about this the other day ( need the cases on my 1100 evo sp re painting) - i was pointed here....

And, as i was told (and i do agree to a certain extent) powder coating is a bit of a jelly mould type finish...id say ok for wheels but the swing arm...you want all the edges and angles to stand out....

  10. It is but worth the money from what i can see....my KTM coat and rebuild cost about 1100 in the end but it still looks identical to the day i put the motor back in the bike....mines Xylan but still a high quality coating...

  11. That looks lovely.

  12. Yeah....but - you get what you pays for...its just down at the local wp dealer getting the shock rebuilt and lowered for a more supermoto stance....carb is leaking also but, ive gotta confess ive never been good with them so he's sorting that out also...i can do most stuff on a bike but carbs and top end work on 4 strokes i cant get my head round...its one of those things where if i were to get it wrong id trash the motor so not willing to try unless im absolutely sure about what im doing...

  14. Just went for a ride on her. First attempt couldn't change gear, the linkage was put on wrong duh. Blasted down the A3 wow pulls really well, the suspension is set up better on this bike and the pirelllis feel much better than the michelins. Love it.

  15. I've had 2 people ask me if the crankshaft needs balancing in an 853 conversion . Does anyone know what the answer is ?

  16. its not a need! but very wise to do while its apart, engine balancing is one of the best mods you can do for reliability.

  19. I thought it depended on the year. Are the pre 99/2000 748s not singlephase like the 916 and after 2kMY 3 phase like the 996?
