916 Restoration Project

    It has a plastic threaded collar on the front of the crank case

    Do you know how it comes out of the crank case?
     
  16. Your first picture is the crank position sensor, it should have a plug on the end. The second picture looks like the alternator cable which is connected to the alternator inside the casing and goes to the reg/rec.

  18. Ok guys, I’m stuck!
    As predicted, the swinging arm bolt is seized solid.
    We’ve used a copper washer and drift, hitting it with a lump hammer as hard as we dare, noting the amount of shock travelling through the bike, and it hasn’t moved.
    What’s your advice on my next step??
