996 Tacho Not Working

Did you take the plug boot off? Terminals are numbered.

 

and if you look with a strong light and maybe magnification, I think the numbers are moulded into the body?

 

Snip the cable ties get the boot off and look other side of plug.

The counting goes bottom left pin 1. Then down to bottom right for pin 19.
