Unnumbered models are not / should not be perceived as of less value than numbered… Ducati numbered the first 500 road going bikes in addition to unnumbered race bikes, but as is not too well known they well exceeded 500 road going bikes. Mine is unnumbered and is DMH verified, and if it was numbered it would be 63* in line with the engine number… Rumour has it they made more like 750 but this is not confirmed. I tried to squeeze DMH for a number when they verified mine but was given a reply along the lines of you have enough info from us now go forth and multiply….
