999 Flooded Help !!

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by slumdog, Dec 19, 2015.

  1. Did the back wheel turn and no spark.. Will check out the fuse behind the battery box as mentioned ...

  2. All fuses okay .. The problem was a progressive one so no sudden failure unfortunately right at the beginning... Pulling the hair out now...How to test with a multimeter and at what points ?

  3. got your constant 12v+at coil and injectors when ignition on?

  4. are you checking the voltage when connected? if not check both connected and connected. if the voltage drop when connected you have a poor connection or damaged wire further back. replace relevant fuses even if they look ok,

  5. Finally got back to working on the bike - had ordered new battery cables which arrived so now fitted she starts first time every time !
thanks for the help - turns out all 999 were fitted with just adequate battery terminals cables from the factory so it's inevitable they will fail , eventually !
