Did the back wheel turn and no spark.. Will check out the fuse behind the battery box as mentioned ...
All fuses okay .. The problem was a progressive one so no sudden failure unfortunately right at the beginning... Pulling the hair out now...How to test with a multimeter and at what points ?
are you checking the voltage when connected? if not check both connected and connected. if the voltage drop when connected you have a poor connection or damaged wire further back. replace relevant fuses even if they look ok,
Finally got back to working on the bike - had ordered new battery cables which arrived so now fitted she starts first time every time ! thanks for the help - turns out all 999 were fitted with just adequate battery terminals cables from the factory so it's inevitable they will fail , eventually !
