Odd electrical issue on 999 Front light comes on, rear light comes on together with rear brake light as soon as ignition is on (basically no brake light as all is on). If I pool out fuse for high/low beam and rear light obviously lights are off but then pressing brake front or back lights up the rear bulb correctly. Main beam seems to be feeding through to brake light circuit. Any idea where to start looking?
Hi take a look at the point where the wires exit the tube under the can. Mine had worn through the insulation there and were shorting to earth but if yours have chaffed so that the tail light and stop light are exposed and touching each other I think it would give this problem. In any case unless its a bad earth as OR says it must be somewhere that the two circuits co exist Good luck
Well it was simpler then that. I have made sure bulb position is correct which it was then noticed someone has in past disconnected the wires at back of deflector and put them back on wrong way round
