999 999s Prices

Discussion in '749 / 999' started by Gabagool, Jul 26, 2026 at 9:20 AM.

  1. Hello all, I’m keen on selling my 999s. but I’m looking at the prices and they seem to have gone a bit mental. What’s everyone’s thoughts on the prices for these machine. I’m seeing some for 10k and 13k which seems way too high

  2. I would agree, £10k+ is somewhat optimistic.

  3. Yeah that’s what I was thinking. Mine needs a service but with just 3700 miles on it I was thinking putting it up closer to the 9500 range see what interest I get. Not sure if I’d even get any at that price point…

  4. There’s a broad range of prices on eBay, from as little at 5.5 up to 10.

I’m aware of one that’s been laid up in a shed for 15 years, I’m trying to persuade the owner to sell but he’s not having it. Fancy a go at a barn find!

  8. Had it for 6 years, it’s a 2003 with I think 3700 miles on it. Funny enough I got it out couple days ago to move it to garage, decided to dry start it. Started first time! I bought the bike with a view to keep it as I love the look of the 999.

It had a full nut and bolt restoration (just major clean really with the pics to prove) before I had it and I think I’ve done about 50 miles total on it. I had it next to my 1098s in my living room (the room looked so cool) but selling the Ducatis due to wanting to pay my mortgage off so now I’ve sold the 1098 Im looking to get rid of this.
She’s showroom condition, just needs a service!

  9. Bit fresh for me mate, I want to do a restoration. Not necessarily a 999 but it’s on the list. Put in the for sale ads if you’ve not already I’m sure someone will have it!

  10. No worries mate was worth a shot! cheers bud

  11. definitely get some close up, high-quality pictures on here, nothing like this to get prospective owners licking their lips

  12. Probably worth it for £10?

  13. Asking prices seem all over the place and Im not seeing many actually sell?

  14. you are so right. I can feel some sympathy for companies selling bikes with a (surprise surprise) massive stock to sell but the market needs reading very carefully right now. hard time to sell/ easy time to buy a (an apparent) bargain..

  15. I had a Dutch friend with a PDI delivery mileage 999S for sale not that long ago. It sold within a week for around 15000 Euros. Very tidy bike but would have needed recommisioning after such a long period laid up, which can be deceptively expensive.

  16. Find the cheapest decent 999r then chop 25% off then a further 20-40% and thats your range
