  4. I drunkenly bought an SV1000 whilst on a stag do once, and woke up the next day to find out that it was in Scotland. And it was January. And there was 6" of snow covering the whole country. I took a van....

  7. To be fair I enjoyed the days out. Dragged my mate along on the second trip, brought my bike back in his van. Both times I was taken for a ride in super fast cars by the guy who owned the garage.. First was a Nissan GTR Jees' the only thing holding in the contents of my bowels was the seatbelt!! That thing was motorbike fast, 2nd visit was Lotus supercharged Exige. All up my Visits to Northumberland were thumbs up :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

  8. the one on fleabay for 7.5 is interesting and the vendor is straight. ive exchanged messages with him. it looks ok but its too leggy for me

    theres also a nice early S on the isle of man. i spent no less than 40 mins with the vendor on the phone. its a very original bike but to get it dvla compliant added to the cost to get it landed here is a bit of a faff

  9. Looks straight overall, fluids look a bit grubby. 7500 is a bit ambitious. There was a lovely red one owner 748s on a few weeks ago. Seller dropped price to 4750, needless to say it disappeared pretty quick

  11. I've written to the seller of the 5 grand R, and I feel a bit sorry for him really.

    If you're going to flog a bike for a mate, you don't really want it to be a potentially ill maintained diva bike, that people are clearly going to ask a LOT of questions about.

  14. Feeling brave? Not that brave. Something about that ad screams "RUN AWAY!!!!".

    Unfortunately I do mind an E, or Bip. That extra seat and the pegs just look wrong. And they don't perform as well.....

    I know it's not a 748, and it's a bit of a hotch potch, but I quite like this one. As the chap says, not one for the purists.....
