Had an extra 300 vans added to an order that was close to finishing Xmas so if I’m kept on have enough work until April.
can relate to this, delivered a car to St Andrews once, they didn't allow you to plead by proxy back then*, and i'm guessing it hasn't changed. *i.e. no prisoners taken.
Yeah my mate had to appear but he was well over 100 mph, his Solicitor told him he’d get a ban he would have lost his job with a ban. So he sacked him off on the day and represented himself got a hefty fine points but no ban so result for him.
New One: This will resonate with any contractors: No arse'ol agencies phoning to see that they have the perfect job for you and you will be in (together with the other 2000 candidates that they will then 'phone, whilst they ignore the fact that the job is with other agencies and your cv will be one of 10,000 submitted. Oh, how I don't miss that world now that I have taken early retirement from myself!
Covid Marshals Can you imagine the test? Are you a wanker? Yes. Have you got a tiny cock? Yes. You're in!!
FFS. I'm getting angry just looking at that photo, never mind if one of them were to start ordering me around. Don't we already have enough Happy Shopper quasi-coppers, CCTV cameras and interfering civilian busybodies spying on all and sundry with their dash cams and doorbells* already???? * Stills from Amazon Ring cams of "suspicious characters" is a big thing in my village WhatsApp group. I wonder how many times I was featured in such photos in the 7 months I'd lived in the village before someone gave me the invite!
I have Ring cameras to look at my bird feeders and to spot wildlife in the garden. I may not of got their true purpose right
The sort of guys who practice with nunchucks in front of the bedroom mirror and reckon that they know a secret martial arts technique that will render someone unconscious in seconds...... only to realise when they wake up in Casualty that it doesn't work in the real world against some 6' 4" psycho with 10 pints of Stella inside him.
So this guy violated covid laws. Hardly evil crime of the century. I know Alex Belfield can be a bit of a throbber but just spin on to 3.30 ffs, this kind of shit would get me very upset indeed. And these new police powers won't be withdrawn anytime soon. If ever.....
I think changing the name of this thread to "people who have enjoyed the pandemic" might now be a good idea. We have The Police and Covid Marshals, for a start....
Christ on a bike. Tbh though, I’ve seen a lot of petty policing in my career. A couple of memorable examples are two 15 year olds prosecuted for theft of an abandoned car battery that had been left out for but left behind by the binmen, and a different teenager prosecuted for “assault by beating” for flicking tomato soup at one of his classmates in the school lunch hall. Unfortunately these new sweeping Covid powers and the Chicken Little style panic the country has got itself into just enable such OTT actions and normalise the idea of us being watched, bossed around and policed 24/7 not just by actual police but all these quasi-coppers such as Covid Marshals
If you’ve done nothing wrong, you’ve nothing to hide. If you need more help than others, or excepting from society laws, wear this badge. Said some small bloke with a Ron Mael tash. #forthegreatergood
Not true anymore. In some shopping place in Gloucestershire they were once going through people's shopping bags to check people had only bought essentials. I think that a Tesco manager reported it to head office and the Tesco legal team had to explain a few facts of life to the Gloucestershire Chief Constable.
