  1. Burgos to Santander is fantastic, enjoy

  2. Did you get to Riano? It's a great ride

  3. No we headed down to Cordoba this year but always make Burgos our first stop after getting off ferry so have done the 623 half a dozen times.Never get tired of it .There are better roads but as a close to your trip it's fantastic plus if you were travelling from Bilbao you can branch off 623 to the right and hit good roads under Bilbao.
    Have a safe ride , g

  4. We've managed to get a ride into Riano every day, and done every route to it. They've closed the tunnel for roadworks, so we've been travelling over to Cangas then down the 625. Great road! Today we're going over to La Robla on the 626 then up the 630 to Oviedo, then back across the 634.

The 630 looks awesome on the map, so I'm hoping it's as good as it looks.

I hope I'm not tempting fate saying this, but the Multi has been incredible!
It corners like a sports bike, and is comfortable enough to eat up the miles. It's enjoying its oil and I've somehow picked up a bit of a buckle on the front wheel - but I'm loving it! Can't think of a bike I'd rather have done this trip on. :upyeah:

  5. Trip over. Already thinking of going back to Spain next year. What a place!

Best road for me was Cangas down to Riaño. It's got it all! Technical bends of every variety, fast sweepers at the end, and a fantastic view as you come down to Riaño - all with great surface and hardly any traffic.

    Loved it!

  6. Yeah, that's one that we did on the way to Gijon.
Fantastic, as you said, sweepers at end, great stuff. Empty too.

  7. We stayed half way along that road for a couple of nights, in Oseja de Sajambre, so got to sample it a few times. Got to agree, great strip of black-top :upyeah:

  8. Cracking photo! :upyeah:

  9. Next time go further afield. Try the area west of Oviedo and towards the border with Portugal, or head east into the hills inland from Valencia including tha Alto Tajo between Cuenca and Teruel. Roads just as good, scenery more arid, usually drier. Last but not least, try the Pyrennese in Catalunya between Barcellona and Andorra.

Some exceptional roads to be found in that direction :)

One of the most mental bits of tarmac I've ridden, don't miss it if you're in the area.

  11. Just look at that, perfect smooth Tarmac and no traffic.
Beats the hell out of the M25.

  12. Sounds like a great trip. We've got a place in South Costa Blanca close to Torrevieja. I want to try and plan a trip from the UK down there for next year. The roads down there are just amazing. I can't wait to get the 1299S out there next month.
