  1. I was just gonna ask you where you were trying to connect to.....

    No it's in the left hand side panel near the Ecu, tucked down the left of the battery.

    It's quite well hidden.

    The one under the seat is for the DDA.
     
  2. The one under the seat is for the USB data capture device. As Anth says, the diagnostic port is here 1098 diagnostic.jpg . It has a plastic cap over it.

    The leads listed above, the Ducatidiag and a licence for the software are what you need to reset the TPS yourself.

  4. I've just fitted a Zard full system & ecu to my bike, sounds great btw

    whats TPS?
    Sounds like I may need to do it...
     
  5. Throttle position sensor.

    It's so your ecu knows what position the throttle is in.

    It's reset at zero when the throttle on the bike is closed, and then counts up in degrees as you open the throttle.
     
  6. Often when these bikes suffer from stalling issues a TPS reset can solve.
    Not always - but a good place to start.

    Should really be done after an ecu swap out...:upyeah:

    ChrisW, can you assist me with the SW licence required & what I need to do to reset the TPS (I now know what that is :)

  8. You'll need to hook it up first and dump the data required to create the .lic file specifically for your ecu.

    Unless there's still pirated global .lic files around. :mad:

    Have a read of the beginners section on the Ducatidiag forum, then I'm sure Chris will help after that.

  11. Hmm my 749S came second hand with Termis and stalls all the time. Was told by a dealer it needed a TPS reset and maybe a remap. Will have to see if I can use the recommended stuff above with this bike or whether its 848/1098 onwards.....

  13. The 749 should use the IAW 59M ecu if I remember correctly, which is similar to the IAW 5AM used in the 848/1098.

    Ducatidiag will work with that ecu and won't even need the licence file as they didn't carry a serial number.

    ChrisW will correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure that was what was in the 749.

  14. Depends on year. Pre 2004 usually IAW59M. Post 2004 IAW5AM. Only difference, software wise, is that Ducatidiag will fully function for the IAW59M without a licence.

  16. Does this software and cable work on the Multi 1200 S? If not is there anything that does?
