  1. The giulietta is better that mito in almost every way as well. Only had one warranty use, which was minor being a new battery. No issue with dealer or Alfa overall then though. I’d vote for that second clover leaf.

  2. friend has the 2.0 petrol 159, loves it and has had virtually no hassles. Er indoors has the mito QV in the attached photos, it is an absolute buzz to drive (one of the lads at the gym had the matching Giulietta that is parked next to the mito, he now has a 2.2 Brera which is in one of the photos).

from your list you post, the one that has has the engine rebuild should, in theory, be the better choice, as it has a practically new engine and I suspect a longer warranty to go with it.

I'm sure you'll enjoy whatever you choose.

  4. My son has a 2009 Mito Veloce - think it’s the 120bhp Turbo. Only got 43000 miles on it with full AR history. He’s not driven it for 14 months been sitting in his Nans garage. It’s a great car, I love driving it, goes really well, it’s a bit quirky but that’s it appeal. Last summer when it was hot all the warning lights came on, I rang the dealer and he said leave it for a few days, when the weather cools it will be fine, and it was....apart from that it’s been 100% reliable, shame you want a 5 door as he’s looking to sell it..

  5. the water pump collapsing or seized resulting in belt failure?
the diesels dont bend valves. just brake rockers which makes em cheep enough to repair.

  6. No other damage was apparent. The belt was fine. Only damage to one piston. I was told the valve head broke and dropped in to the cylinder. I was only doing about 20mph at the time, it just went “brrrrrp!” and immediately stopped. Needed new rod, bearings, piston and head.

  7. no luck, v.unusual fault.
