1260 Anyone Fitted Brembo Full Floater Buttons On Front Rotors?

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by john clelland, Mar 23, 2019.

  1. Has anyone here fitted Brembo Full Floater buttons on the front rotors of their Multistrada? If yes, how much of an improvement doe these floater buttons provide ... i.e.: less rotor drag, better feel when braking, etc...?

I had full floater ductile iron rotors on my Hypermotard 1100, and really liked the improvement over stock non-floating rotors, so I am hoping these Brembo floater buttons might provide the same kind of improvement.

  2. You won't see any improvement, you stated that you fitted Ductile steel rotors which will be far better than the steel versions as standard.

  3. grazie for your reply.

i'm not really seeking performance improvement in brake force or feel ... just wanting to get rid of the rotor drag that is VERY apparent with the stock "fixed button, non-floating" rotors.

  4. My 999 has semi floating bobbins.
Are you sure yours are fixed, rather than just gummed up?
Mine worked much better after I got all the crud out .

  5. Same as OR. I loosened mine off with a large screwdriver head and brake cleaner. Spin nicely now.
