I'm a detail fanatic, so ill happily spend £3 on a stainless band clamp even if its not visible. Hell, I spent three hours cleaning the cbr coolant reservoir - it's almost completely hidden when the bike is assembled, but if its going in it needs to be as good as I can possibly make it. No 20p jubilee - it would bug me too much! In the real world they are fine, but too slow for production lines.
