Anyone Recommend A Decent Polish

  1. You don't need to get the air out, it merely reaches saturation point and can't flash off any further providing the container is airtight, but even with those containers you show, the flash off rate will be so minute, you wont notice even if not 100% airtight, just do the lids up tight. The containers may expand or contract slightly with heat and pressure, but providing the lids are done up, realistically, losses will be very minimum. :upyeah:
     
  2. Thanks for that mate, I do tighten the lids and don't have Trump hands but still my acetone 5L bottles are all half full.

    Wonder if I've been mistaking it for the vodka when pissed?

  3. Ahh yes, that does happen when you use it, that I am no denying :D
     
  4. Polyethylene in not recommended for long term storage of acetone, in particular thin walled LDPE with a large surface area, which those cans look like. Acetone is best stored in metal or glass containers.
