Cant comment on the 1199 but on my 1198s - my God - they are epic. Have the full race system (70mm?) and the sound is like Thor arrived with bad intentions lol
Having just fitted Arrow's to my 848 it FINALLY sounds like a proper Ducati, but that said I did it for £530 which is a damn site cheaper than Termig's (even used Termig's if you can find them in mint condition go for £600-800) let alone what the 899/1199 ones must go for! Austin Racing have a set now for the 899 don't they? I don't think the Carbon is that great on the Termigs, have seen tons on ebay with burn marks where they need re-packing and of course owners are claiming they are not that old. I would wait for Akrapovic if your spending the big money, they really are the best I think.
Did to a sudden change of project plan I may have a set of of the older style 848/1098/1198 up for sale. Includes air filter and straps, no baffles or ecu. That terribly nice chap ChrisW will sort your ecu I'm sure...

yes to your pocket You need to speak to people running your local dyno and find out exactly what is producing the best power I can't speak for your particular bike but for my 900ss the local dyno shop showed me all the graphs from similar bikes to my own, cut airbox, loud pipe & powercommander and the difference between one bikes and another was less than 2 hp and the make of pipe had no bearing what so ever Their advise was look for the best deal possible on flea bay Ended up with Ducati performance pipes and the output was as good or better than comparable termi set ups

I may have a set for sale Going to run the bike for the first 600 miles without and then decide to fit or move them on. The only reason I will keep if I think it needs smoother throttle control.
