Are You Smarter Than Donald Trump

  1. Trouble is, millions of Americans cannot seriously consider voting for Clinton either. She is seen as dishonest and corrupt and critically she represents European style high tax/high spend state-interventionism which is absolute anathema to the self-reliant ethos of the American dream.
Many people in Europe and the UK probably don't understand just how repelled small-town America is by our high spending big-government social democracy where the state reaches into every area of life. Clinton represents that thinking and millions of Americans would vote for absolutely anyone just to stop her.
What's amazing is how the choice has come down to these two. But you can't blame the parties. Anyone is entitled to stand and both candidates had to win through the primaries. The American public voted them into the race.

  2. That's a good hypothesis from Gimlet.

The real truth though is that the Establishment Eilte in the US want, for reasons known only to themselves, to have Clinton as President.

The only way to achieve this is to have someone even more repellent run against her - but not someone so disgusting that there would be no support for the opposing candidate. It's a fine line that is been tread here - popular enough to have support, horrible enough to have no chance of winning.

End result - a virtually unelectable Clinton, elected to the Presidency. Nicely played, Elites!

  3. So is it US corporatism pushing Clinton for their own ends the way UK corporatism does here with our membership of the EU?

  14. Now that the video has been released of Trump admitting (or rather boasting) of having committed repeated sexual assaults on women, I wonder what else is waiting in the pipeline.

My guess is that a few days before the election proof will surface of Trump having had sex with underage girls.

Even the most bonkers Trump supporters are going to struggle with voting for a paedophile, so that should do the trick.

  15. A couple days before election day should be just about right. It'll then be too late to do anything about it and Project Clinton will be a success.
