Back After Accident

  1. Hello All,

This is from hospital in Dursley, typed one handed, but still here!

On my way home from work in March, I was not seen by a car that pulled out into my path. The road was closed for about 10 hours. I had a 12 hour operation and I now have replacement hip and lots of metal work in my leg. I was due to lose leg and they 'nil by mouthed' me for 24 hours. Fortunately, on the morning of op, they changed their mind, Leg still attached! S4r written off, apparently. Police burnt all my gear as it was covered in blood. They wanted to burn bike but insurance co stopped them.

I crashed my ST3 in January, in Salisbury, so not a good year for me!

    Running out of Ducatis!!!

  2. I take it you lost a hand?

  3. Glad to see you still have your spirit. I know it’ll be a long road to recovery but get well as soon as you can. Andy

  4. Everything is still attached. Dislocated both shoulders and broke left one. Dislocated left elbow and only just got hospital permission to use left arm - it's still weak.

Hope the car diver gets the full force of the law applied to them and you have a good solicitor to make sure your continued rehabilitation is fully paid for :upyeah:

  12. Lady prison officer (it was outside Leyhill Open Prison) admitted fault and is being prosecuted. As soon as I appointed a claims specialist, the company, Hastings, suddenly denied the driver's admission!
