  1. Hi everyone im trying to install evo tech bar ends on my 959 i got the other side off easy but the throttle side had a brake guard on and it doesnt look like the insert for it is standard.
Has anyone any tips to remove the insert as the metals kinda soft on it thanks.

  2. Tap it round with a punch

  3. Looks like it’s threaded  I know at least one of the Panigales is. Andy

  4. Is one of the expanding types (like a raw bolt)?
Put a rod down the hole and push the wedge back into the grip to get rid of the expansion. Should slide out then.

GB Racing guard for Panigale. Screw a bolt into centre hole and undo. If it’s one like above it just slides out when loose.

  7. So the two slopes slide up against each other to grip the tube. Tapping the bolt inwards should loosen things.

  8. The sloped closest to fork is threaded so try an unwinding a bolt first.

  9. Modified bolt. Remove the treads for the area of the bolt nearest the head. You will be able to thread it through the first part and into the second. If enough metal is removed from the bolt it will then be able to slide through the first part. Make sense???

It appears that the bolt in the above picture would actually do the job.
