When I bought my Husqvarna Hedge Trimmer the man in the shop tried to sell me special garden machinery 2 stroke oil on the spurious basis that 2 stroke motorbikes aren't revved to max as long as garden machines.
Clearly a man that had never owned an RD250LC

 

I usually use motul 800, it's lying around for the motocross bike. A bit expensive for a bloody hedge trimmer.

 

Mrs Evo loves 2 strokes, just as well, it's about all I can manage these days

Just purchased a Makita, mainly because all my other tools are Makita and didn’t fancy buying new batteries and charger. I bought it because it’s more convenient than dragging my electric one (heavy) + cable around. I didn’t go for the brushless model because of the difference in price.
Most lads on the building sites around here use Makita.

 

Had years of use out of my Ryobi. Gets used for an hour or so every second week this time of year.
