  3. I purchased one like this about 8/10 years ago, drove it for 30 minutes and it overheated,so returned it straight away for a refund.

  4. I love them, the road holding in town is just awesome.BUT with my now expanded waist and dodgy back I struggle to get in the bloody things.

  5. I used to rag the ass out of my little 998cc Cooper, never let me down, cops could never catch me through the country lanes. I used to get whispered to at a later date though !!!

  14. I love those 'proper' Mini's. I used to work on 'em back in the late 70's and early 80's at a BL dealership. :)

  18. mate there's not going to be anything restorable with that pile of crap why they have even got a pallet underneath to stop it collapsing completely. ha ha madness.
1071 cc was the earliest "s" engine they weren't so hot, pound for pound the 998cc with a few mods was a better car.

  19. They had to put the pallet under it to drag it from its hiding place and as you say stop it falling apart it remained on the pallet when the buyer took it. It was probably 1071cc. Anyhow it is supposed the rare. If I recall correctly they said the last perfect one sold for 60k
