Every time I see this advert I tell the wife/kids this is what riding a bike feels like. Why are twisties such fun? Anyone can go fast in a straight line. New riders go flat out, brake hard, wobble slowly round a corner then shoot off again.
Oh yes? Have a go at drag racing / straight line sprinting. You might find it's not as easy as you think.
I'm sure they are highly skilled and far better at it than I would be. My point is I would expect my mum could take a Hayabusa to 150mph on a disused air field after a few days of practice.
obviously being on a bike forum i am going to be in a minority but i much prefer " pushing " my car than i do a bike nowadays,, tbh the " thrill " of potentially hurting myself or expensive repair work to the bike if it goes wrong does not apeal to me and seems totally alien ,, , maybe i am getting old , maybe a bit wiser, ( i hope ) or would never have even considered getting back on a bike..
You don't necessarily have to pushing yourself or your bike to the limit to enjoy bends. Just getting them right and getting them flowing is a pleasure. Its fun to hammer them, of course, but its also very satisfying to ride them in the rain and get your riding spot on.
