Best Looking Italian Bike (not Ducatis)

  1. Its a P Reg. As I say ive seen the pic...to be honest the pic only has the corner of the bike in there but it absolutely does have a fairing on - I need to get in the loft when im over there next...

  2. Check on Google images doesn't reveal any faired bikes.

  3. Well.... I didn't see a full pic of the fairing (I was thinking it was a rickman fairing or something like that) but, its not style that they would do - plus the original owner who passed away along time ago said that it was fitted before he took delivery of it....have to see if I can find it....

  4. The mystery deepens ... maybe check on a Honda forum then?

  5. I'd be interested to know. Been going to Box Hill, a major biker haunt in Surrey, for forty years and went to the Isle of Man three times but I've never seen a 400 Four with an OEM fairing.

  6. Yeah - well....as I say I need to actually put my hands on it first to see....ironically ive just been phoning around regarding the exhaust...the pic shows a motad system on there but the original one if you can find one is 1500 quid plus....ive got the full original system but its needs overhauling, some welding and the whole lot blasted and rechromed....

  7. well I have to admit I still love the looks if my benelli 125 sport
wish I could lay my hands on a 250 version but not allowed to buy any more toys (at the moment lol)

  8. I forgot about Benellis. The guy who runs the garage in our village has a 250 4 cylinder race bike he parades at classic bike meets and one of the Oliver's Mount weekends his mate has a Sei though I have never seen that

  11. Is it a honda style fairing? Honda used subsidiary suppliers then branded items under their own banner. Deffo weren't standard though

  13. That's very lovely indeed. Such clean lines, especially the seat unit and tail section which is where things so often go wrong. Everything there is meant to be. Nothing looks like an afterthought.

  18. You are quite correct of course, its an absolute munter. Just posted it up as a bit more info on Pete's post. I posted what I think are the best non Ducati looking bikes in the "Other Bikes" section and (I think) they are all Eye-Talian
