1200 DVT Bloody Brilliant

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by tobers, Aug 27, 2017.

  1. Two years into my multi & I concur with every word, wonderful on tour or a quick blast - not missed a beat.
Might be an age thing..... but what performance and I'm not clambering off trying to straighten up a sore back.
Best mistress I've ever had, such a beauty!

  2. 2015 DVT 'S', Toured Europe, Commuted, Day Run's, Track days and even the odd trail thrown in for good luck. Never failed, dissapointed or let me down. Yes, I have had the odd "issue", all resolved without any question by the dealer.

In the past I would have changed for a newer model by now, not this one, she'll be with me for the foreseeable future.

  3. Yep, great bike. I too have the Satandard version (March 2016) with the addition of heated grips. Other bikes I've had I was always happy to get out for an hour or so, however now with the multi it has to be a minimum of a full day or I'm not happy.
Toured the Scottish 500 last year and in 3 weeks time I'm off through France up and over the Pyrenees and finishing off in Northern Spain in the Picos.....9 days on the bike. This makes me happy
Best all rounder for tarmac, B roads, A roads and Motorways .....I'm not brave enough to do proper off road.

  4. I'm only my 2nd Multi and am feeling very inadequate....

Just back from a long weekend also; into France/Belgium/Lux/Germany. Great roads, fine tarmac and not a drop of rain (that's a first!). My early adopter 2010 has trackday'd and toured this year and I always enjoy the ride. The bike's also never let me down. Did over 200 miles on a tank doing (over 51mpg) touring with an average 80mph on part of the way home. Can't ask for more really.

  6. Agree with everything said here. Have done 8000 trouble free (ish) miles in the last year, more than I've done on any other bike I've owned which says it all.
Off to Wales and a tour around Southern Ireland next week.... can't wait!

  7. Route Napoleon

  16. Brilliant bike indeed :yum

Took me a couple of months to get used to the Twin after 7 years on my trusty Triumph Tiger 1050 but now I am loving it

Done a few weeks touring Europe this summer and last weekend was spent in beautiful Norway
I think this bike will stay with me for a while :)
