Hi All, I'm looking to drag the little scooter out of the garage and use it for commuting to work now that the weather has improved but to keep the miles off my main bike. As I will only be using one helmet for commuting I thought it would be nice to be able to listen to music and take the odd call as I pootle about the city of Nottingham. What are peoples recommendations for a decent but budget headset that will work and match my needs? All the best - Ben
https://www.urbanrider.co.uk/interphone-shape-bluetooth-headset.html Tried cheaper and been a waste of money. These work. Sometimes tricky to work out the correct channel on the phone to max the volume.
I have a Sena 20S Evo if you want something top quality and don't mind secondhand. It's 2.5 years old and been used about 20 times. I've kept it topped up intermittently every 3-6 months, so the battery is good. It comes complete with speakers, mikes, and all the fitting gubbins. Sportsbike has them at discounted down to £165 from £243 RRP, so £100.
Couldn't see how to send you images directly, so here we go. Items are: 1. main headset unit 2. helmet mounting piece 3. two types of mounting plate (screw together either side of helmet, & sticky pad) 4. two speakers 5. three boom mikes 6. two extra foam bits if you need speakers to be closer to your ears 7. four spare mike sponges 8. one small chin bar mike (wired to the mount in the images) 9. various sticky bits for mounting options 10. charging cable 11. small -> large aux connector cable, possibly not part of original kit The one small thing you'll need to do is the chin bar mike has a velcro pad which has lost it's stickiness, so you'll need a little bit of double-sided sticky tape (cf Blue Peter!) to stick that to the inside of your helmet if you use that.
