749 Brake Light Switch

Discussion in '749 / 999' started by Russell w, Jan 26, 2018.

  1. my front brake light micro switch has started to play up,which I have read is quite a common issue.
Has anybody tried to replace it with a generic inline pressure switch which are realitively cheap to buy.
Any comments or reviews would be appreciated
    Cheers Russell

  2. Interested! I could be having a similar issue

  3. The problem with mine turned out to be the connector in front of the tank.
Gave it a good wiggling and it's been fine ever since

  4. Yep. mine too

  5. Just fitted one of these today.

Seem s to work ok. Activates the light with about half lever pressure.

  6. I'm not with the bike this week but I might order one of those and see if it sorts it for the sake of £8
I've got a brembo master cylinder too, what part of the loom does this attach too?

  7. On my 998, the 2 thin wires coming from behind the headlight. I just cut the supplied connector off and spliced the wires in. 10 minute jobby
