You're more than welcome Ian, we're in Hunslett, just give us a ring first to make sure we are here and not out measuring bikes!
Sorry, I can't help feeling ripped off! I paid £350 at the NEC show earlier this year which was apparently a 'Show Only' offer, and now only a few months later I can buy it for £265. How much are you going to be offering it for in the winter????
I am sorry that you feel like you have been ripped off, the reason why the lift is now cheaper is because we are selling a lot more now than last November, we are now able to buys our materials cheaper as we we are buying higher volumes
So, putting my piece cost estimating head on to reduce material costs enough 'pro-rata' to get your sales price down from £350 to £265 you must now be getting your materials for less than free - honestly, bad answer...
And I'm guessing production, through greater volume throughput, is slicker and more cost effective. Honestly, bad whinge.
You clearly haven't considered how the maths work then, unless you are a share holder Consider the raw material cost alone now and it will be smaller than the delta of the price reduction. And output efficiency was in no way part of the defense. It's hardly automated now to achieve a much greater output. Besides, you can't even get a hose reel to stay on the wall so don't attempt maths. Honestly a bad retort :Bag:
No I'm not a shareholder but I do understand production and efficiencies of scale. They may have also taken a commercial decision to reduce their margins to sell more units. Who knows. It's one of the reasons why when I've bought something (whatever it may be) that I never look for it elsewhere cos invariably you'll find it cheaper, somewhere, somehow. You were happy buying at the price you paid. I'd leave it at that.
I do agree with your last sentiment ET - but why do you think you can reply when I had hidden my head in a bag? :Bag:
Well, what seemed like a genuine offer would have appeared to have retreated back over the horizon. Well done!
Is this you selling them for a start price of £199 or one of your distributors? They have a couple listed at this price and more at £295 or best offer. 1jac Side jack. BNIB. The New Paddock Stand. | eBay
Some interesting comments. In answer to the question regarding the price it is a bit of everything to be honest. We now buy bigger volumes of materials, have a new paint booth, we fabricate now in house as opposed to outsource, yes we have reduced our margins and we are now more aware of the market With regards to our pricing policy, if you buy direct from us you pay £295.00 (inc VAT, less 10% forum discount) plus £24.50, you may find if you buy from one of our distributors you will pay slightly more Hope that helps
The two you had on Ebay both went for £210, maybe that has set a good guide price as to what the market will pay.
