Surely the garage can tell the part number and therefore measurement. I'm at home so will nip out to the garage and see what I can see. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That brings up this - NEW GEN. DUCATI Multistrada 620/1199/S/Multistrada EXHAUST PIPE PLUG 78020011A | eBay which looks just like the 18mm plug i ordered that is too big (apparently).
This is the image from the seller of the pipe. You can see a hole above the rubber part that presses against the fairing. img host The pipe came with a Lambda which i plugged in, but i seem to think that is on the rhs of the pipe, which is out of shot on the above (still plugged in in the picture, which is what the black wire is). If that is the case, what goes in the hole that can be seen? Or am i wrong and the Lambda goes in that hole? The 18mm plug apparently is too large for that hole.
Looks like the sensor should be in the other side and you shoud have a bolt in there. 2010 Ducati 1198 1198S 1198SP Front Horizontal Exhaust Pipe Manifold 140.1.060.1A - Used Motorcycle Parts Goggle image 140.1.060.1A
Thanks mate, that was a handy link. That little bolt has cost me close to £300 so far. Crying into my cornflakes as we speak.
Not good mate, really feel for you. PS, does not look like there is a separate part for it. If you download the parts diagram there is nothing there. You may just need to grab that bolt off another pipe or just find a bolt that fits and locktight it in.
Need to use my bike tomorrow and am currently waiting for the new switch to be delivered. Do i just unclip the first connector from the side stand switch cable and put a paperclip from one female hole to the other on the connector that is joined to the bike?
Yep, exactly that. I did a few hundred miles with the paperclip bodge, no problem. Just tape it up good so it doesn't fall out. I stuck a bit of loom tape over the top. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Broken down again today. Yippee. Started fine this morning, rode into Knightsbridge which is an hour away. Was there for half an hour, started fine again and i rode to deepest Chelsea. Was there an hour, went to start and bamn. Clunk clunk clunk. The AA man came, very nice chap. Did a battery test, showed healthy, front coil out and checked, was sparking ok. No error codes, just didn't want fire. £109 later i've just got home by an independent recovery truck. What can i check tomorrow to try and diagnose? Get the plugs out? The AA man didn't have the correct socket to get to them.
You got petrol? Just kidding, no more ideas from me. Someone better will be along soon enough with their ideas. If it's sparking, but not firing, is it a fuel delivery problem? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
